What do you call a 12 year old boy flirting with a 30 year old man?

Besides creepy, disgusting and just plain wrong. I am looking for a term for this behavior. The reason I am asking is because i work in a restaurant and the same 12 year old boy flirts with me. The first time i just wrote it off as an odd kid but he came back 2 more times in the last month trying to get my attention. My fellow employees who have witness the behavior agree its flirtatious and are disturb as I am.



Basically the kid tries to stand very close to me so he can touch me and laughs at everything i say. The way he says my name is very creepy. I wish it was in my head but this boy is definitely flirting with me. It's almost like he is the opposite of a pedophile or a very weird grave robber. If anyone knows a term for this behavior it would appease my curiosity and hopefully have a story about how this happened to them.

The term is Teleiophilia. It's an odd one, but it does happen.
Well i'd say he is gay, but you should tell him what is going on bc that is creepy. Get firm with him and tell him you are not interested for the reasons you just listed. You could also go work in a different rr. Be careful, you don't want ppl to get the wrong idea and you go to jail.

He is just a normal boy going through puberty.



When I was 12, I had crushes on 30 year old teachers sometimes. And I know I am not the only one.
His a little boy. He is growing and changing and could have homosexual tendencies that he is confused about. Maybe he sees you as a brother/father figure. Perhaps he is lonely and needs an older male in his life. I am sure you seem like a nice fellow to him and he is attracted to that. The kid has no agenda i assure you, he is only acting on the impulses of a little kid.

Just be nice to him and avoid any one on one alone , he will get over you in short order.
GROSS! And I guess the other word that comes to mind is gay.



Also, maybe he has been sexually abused.
If you know who his parents are and his address, call the authorities. This child displays personality of a child who has been sexually abused!
he is probably a gay boy testing his wiles on someone he sees as safe. young girls often flirt with their dads they don't want sex with daddy but he is someone safe they can try out their ';moves '; on and don't have to worry about it going any further.

He may also be in need of attention and has been conditioned in past that this is how to get it.
Please ! He is only a little boy. ';Flirting'; has sexual meaning. You are the adult here. Maybe the child sees you as a hero or a father figure. We do not know the child's story but , if other adults disillusioned this child, do not do the same. Be a positive part of this child's development.
