How can you tell if a boy is flirting with you?

There is a boy I like but I can't tell if he is flirting or not. I do not want to blunder and flirt if he doesn't like me back. I am 13 years old and in the 7th grade, if that helps.How can you tell if a boy is flirting with you?
There are a lot of things to go by whether or not a guy likes or is flirting with you. It can include, but isn't limited to, the following:



-Looking/staring at you

-Smiling (at you)

-Making jokes/making you laugh

-Sticking up for you

-Talking to you a lot

-Being around/hanging with you a lot

-Compliments you
