this is a dificult situation. maybe one day drop your books right next to him purposly, and see if he helps you. if he does YAY! he could be interested, but if not then, move on, and quickly lol. and if thats not your cup of tea, then one day ask him a question he has to answer, like hey do you have the time, or pretend to be writing something down before you pass him and ask him whats todays date. simple things that could lead up to a full blown conversation. you never know until you try it right?! so go for it
